Window Replacement

OGL Developments recently undertook a comprehensive window replacement project at an attractive period stone cottage.

The original windows, which had deteriorated and no longer offered suitable insulation or security, were carefully removed and replaced with bespoke, high-performance units designed to enhance both the building's comfort and its distinctive style.

What Was Fitted

  • High-Performance Timber Windows: The new windows are double-glazed timber units, finished in a subtle light grey that complements the period character of the building.
  • Heritage Style: Each window has been styled to retain the original character of the property, featuring traditional curved heads and astragal bars, in keeping with the building’s historic aesthetic.
  • Sympathetic Installation: Special care was taken to ensure the new windows fit seamlessly within the existing masonry, preserving the charm and appearance of the stone façade.
  • Energy Efficiency: The new windows offer modern standards of insulation and draught proofing, greatly improving the overall comfort and efficiency of the home while retaining its classic look.

OGL Developments’ sympathetic and skilled approach has given this period property a new lease of life, blending energy-saving technology with timeless design.
